Empower Your Staff and Children to Learn Through Play and Exploration!
Strategic Support for Play-Based Progression

My name is Catherine Scott, and I bring 29 years of experience as both a teacher and senior leader. I am deeply passionate about supporting children’s learning through play-based and outdoor approaches—particularly extending this philosophy into Years 1 and 2. Over the years, I have taught and led large teams in implementing this approach with confidence, purpose, and measurable impact. I have also supported many other professionals and colleagues to enhance their practice and provision.
We all recognise that play is one of the most powerful ways for children to learn, grow, and truly flourish.
I now provide specialised consultancy services designed to enhance learning through play from the Early Years right across Key Stage One. I support staff and leaders to develop effective, research-informed strategies that strengthen child engagement, independence, and holistic development.
